Earl L. Edmondson: The Founding Father
Earl was born in 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, to a large and loving family. He attended Cradock High School until 1944, then graduated from William & Mary College before graduating MBA Michigan State University in 1952. An energetic and tireless man, Earl worked hard at every aspect of his life. His father helped him start and launch his business in the food service industry.
Today, more than fifty years later, the heartbeat of Central Meats still pumps with the same blood. Family owned and operated since 1960, Central will always be the go-to place for quality meats and superior service, just as Earl intended. Kind, wise and willing to see the best in everyone, Earl always had a word of advice or a story to share, and was always generous with his wealth of knowledge.
Earl's soul joined his father's in heaven on January 28, 2015, at 90 years of age. He is greatly missed by his family, friends and customers alike.
Richard E. Edmondson: The Rising Son
Richard was born in 1956 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Earl and Ernestine Edmondson. He attended Forrest Glen High School until 1973, then studied Business at Old Dominion University.
Currently the President of Central Meats, Richard has previously held the titles of Master Meat Cutter, Master Butcher & Food Manager. With 40+ years of experience in the food service industry, there's no one we'd trust more at our helm.
Elysia K. Edmondson: The Meat Maiden
Elysia was born in 1960 in Hopewell, Virginia. She attended Forrest Glen High School and was an honored graduate in 1973, among the top 10 in her class. She's earned an Associate degree from Tidewater Community College, a Bachelor from Old Dominion University and is a licensed nurse with 20+ years of experience.
Wiliiam E. Edmondson:
William was born in 1986 in Suffolk, Virginia. He attended Great Bridge High school and has 10+ years of experience in the food service industry. A Licnesed Food Manager and experienced Master Sausage Maker, Wiliam can be found working at the family shop.
Andrew C. Edmondson:
Andrew was born in 1990 in Suffolk, Virginia. He attended Greenbrier Christian Academy until 2009. He has studied computer modeling and simulation at Tidewater Community College and is a Licensed Food Manager. Andrew can be found working at the family shop.
